Anti-Cheat Configuration Guide

This guide helps you configure traffic shaping parameters to effectively evade anti-cheat detection.

Background

Anti-cheat systems (such as Tencent ACE) analyze traffic across these dimensions:

  1. Timing Regularity: Bot packet intervals are extremely regular (CV < 0.08), while real players have natural variation
  2. Packet Size Distribution: Fixed-size packet streams raise suspicion
  3. Data Repetition: Same packets appearing repeatedly

Basic Protection (suitable for most scenarios)

SettingRecommendedNotes
Enable Traffic ShapingYes
Timing StrategyNormalDistributionClosest to real player behavior
Base Interval45 ms
Jitter Strength0.18CV ≈ 0.15-0.20
Enable PaddingYes
Min Padding0
Max Padding256

Enhanced Protection (high-risk environments)

In addition to basic protection:

SettingRecommendedNotes
Enable CV MonitoringYes
CV Alert Threshold0.08
Enable Micro-DifferenceYes
Max Perturbation2
Perturbations Per Packet1-2
Enable Adaptive CVYes
Target CV Range0.15 - 0.22

Data Pool Strategy

SettingRecommendedReason
Selection StrategySmartMulti-dimensional, avoids repetition
Max Consecutive Use3Same data not used more than 3 times consecutively
Size MatchingYesKeep packet size close to original
FreshnessYesPrefer recently collected data
Usage BalancingYesDistribute usage across data

CV Metric Interpretation

CV RangeAssessmentRecommendation
< 0.08DangerousIncrease jitter strength immediately
0.08 - 0.12LowConsider increasing jitter strength
0.12 - 0.25NormalWithin real player range
> 0.25HighConsider reducing jitter strength

Configuration Checklist

  • Traffic shaping enabled
  • Timing strategy set to NormalDistribution
  • Jitter strength >= 0.15
  • Packet size padding enabled
  • CV monitoring enabled (recommended)
  • Data pool strategy using Smart or Random
  • Data pool has sufficiently diverse data (>= 50 entries)
